Bloating and digestion
Abdominal bloating, often accompanied by flatulence, is caused by gas accumulating within the digestive tract. The most common causes are an unhealthy lifestyle, poor diet, but also food intolerances, e.g. to gluten or lactose. To prevent intestinal bloating from occurring, a balanced diet should be followed.
Consumption of foods that irritate the intestinal mucosa, such as fizzy or sugary drinks, coffee, alcohol and fried foods, should be reduced. Taking lactic acid bacteria supplements promotes regularisation of the intestine and reduction of abdominal bloating.
